Team Red Komodo

Team Red Komodo

The players behind the covers

Our ambassadors carry Red Komodo covers from Canadian clubhouses to the PGA TOUR. They've earned their place the hard way, and we're proud to have them in the bag.

Rebecca Lee-Bentham

Professional golfer and coach · Toronto area, Ontario

“Dave and the team at RKG have been very supportive and love their covers.”Rebecca Lee-Bentham

Rebecca won the 2011 Canadian Women's Amateur and earned full LPGA Tour status at Q-School that December at just 19, making her the youngest Canadian on the tour at the time. In 2013 she finished 11th at the Evian Championship and was named Female Professional of the Year by Canadian golf writers.

In 2019 she won the PGA Women's Championship of Canada with a course-record 63 at the Ladies' Golf Club of Toronto. Today she shares what she's learned as a coach, and she plays Red Komodo covers built just down the highway in Hamilton.

Jeffrey Kang

PGA TOUR professional · Fullerton, California

“Appreciate all the support and wicked covers from the team at RKG.”Jeffrey Kang

Jeffrey was one of the top junior golfers in the United States before starring at USC, where he was an All-Pac-10 selection as a freshman. Midway through college he developed the driver yips, a setback that nearly ended his playing career.

He kept grinding through PGA TOUR Canada and the Korn Ferry Tour, and in October 2025 he finished 14th in the Korn Ferry season points to earn his PGA TOUR card at 34. It's the kind of patience and persistence we admire, and we're proud to have Red Komodo covers in his bag.

Career highlights

  • All-Pac-10 freshman at the University of Southern California
  • Played PGA TOUR Canada and the Korn Ferry Tour
  • Earned his PGA TOUR card at the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Championship

Étienne Papineau

PGA TOUR Americas professional · Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Québec

“I was basically one tournament away from losing my card, but I just kept telling myself to keep believing.”Étienne Papineau, after winning the 2026 Osprey Valley Open

Étienne grew up in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, won a string of Quebec junior and amateur titles, played college golf at West Virginia University and spent years representing Team Canada. As a pro, a third-place finish in the Fortinet Cup standings earned him status on the Korn Ferry Tour.

2026 has been his breakout year. In July he won the Osprey Valley Open in a playoff for his first PGA TOUR Americas title, and in September he fired a closing 61 to win the Digital Commerce Group Open by four shots on his 30th birthday. That's his second win at the event, and it moved him to No. 2 on the PGA TOUR Americas points list. We're proud to have a Québec champion carrying covers made right here in Ontario.

  • 2026 Digital Commerce Group Open champion, closing with a 61 to finish 25-under

He came home to Ontario and joined the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks, where he won the 2025 OUA men's championship and was named team MVP and Rookie of the Year.
